Democrates Focus on Social Issues.

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/05/at-the-democratic-convention-an-emphasis-on-social-issues/?hp

Even though the President himself has not spoken at the DNC 2012 many other have made touching remarks on his behalf. One of them being  the first lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama. Just the way that Romney's main focus at the RNC 2012 was all about the economic situations, the Democrates decided to focus on social issues. This is a really good way to start.

Keeping the question of the day in mind: How will the ideas and policies of the Democratic Party impact the lives of American in the next four years? I hope my answer makes sense.

Mrs. Obama mentioned in her speech that no matter who we love, everyone should be successful. This is basically talking about same-sex marriage. I mean I really respect that they are trying to let people know that no one is being left behind for who they love because everyone is equal. As I had stated in my comment on another post I am completely not against was people believe in because they don't tell me how I should live my life and I don't want tell them how to live theirs. I am completely on President's Obama side on this issue. I know there are many people out there that has strong religious beliefs on this topic but you can't change the way life is, no one can especially not for someone else. I would like to apologize if I am speaking over anyone but I strongly believe that God made us for who we are, if he doesn't see any differences in his children (us) why should we?
There are a total of fifty states and many agree to allow same sex marriage and many don't so there is definitely going to be some problems coming up in the next four years if Obama wins the election (not that anything is wrong about that) because this is a very sensitive issue which will make many people happy and many people disappointed.

There were also talks about abortion and contraception (again about the whole health care thing). This is really a hard topic that has many point of views. Health care is a very essential thing this world and it will really impact our lives for the next four years. People will get into accidents, have many medical emergencies and face many health problems and at that time they will not have time to run for medicare and/or health insurance. It is the choice of the PEOPLE! They are being such a great chance that they should take advantage of.

The Democratic Party is basically all about the people and their issues. Sure there have been many problems keeping some promises but that doesn't mean that it will happen all over again. Everyone deserves a second chance. With the Republican party there is nothing that is about the people. It's all about the economic issues nothing for the people.

It is a tough election this year where both sides are approaching people with different ideas.
It is your chance to choose someone who you think will bring change to the country in a positive way not a negative way. Think about your life, and your choices when you vote!

  1. Good job Utsavi! Healthcare is a very important issue that needs to be addressed. I like how you mentioned Michelle Obama's speech as well.
