Paul Ryan, May Not Be Romney's Saving Grace

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/04/20/paul-ryan-booed-town-hall_n_851631.html I'm sure many of us have heard on the news that Mitt Romney has chosen Paul Ryan as his VP. In my own opinion this was a terrible move on the side Romney. Paul Ryan's name has become synonymous with the budget plan that he helped construct, a budget plan that the democrats have said will phase out Medicare, Social Security, etc. This was the first red flag Romney would've seen before choosing him, as now hes given the democrats a nice big red target to attack. In the article attached to this you can see a town hall meeting in which Paul Ryan is literally booed for basically saying we need to cut taxes on the rich and tax the poor more. I cant speak for you guys but I'm not writing this from inside my lavish mansion so I don't really see myself getting behind this. What your opinion on the video? do you think Romney shot himself in the foot by doing this or do you see it differently?
