Something I've Been Noticing
http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/03/politics/debate-main/index.html
I came across this article and thought of our class discussions . the other connection i made was the statement about Romney being aggressive- "Republican challenger was more aggressive in the 90-minute...". My thoughts / questions for the class are : Does Obama really need to be more aggressive ? does his aggressiveness matter only because Romney is aggressive ? can it play a major part in peoples opinion on what Obama has to say ? Do you think people may assume he doesn't know what hes talking about because he isn't "throwing" it in Romney's face so to speak ?

In the first debate, even though I am an Obama supporter, I didn't like his performance. Now the second debate, that's a different story. Yes, he needed to be more aggressive. Yes, because Romney is aggressive, Obama needs to be. In most debates, you can't be all wishy washy. You have to, especially in crucial times like these, be aggressive anyway, regardless of Romney. The facial expressions, comments, aggressiveness and a few other visual factors are things that people watch for closely. Very closely. So both of the candidates are in the spotlight. People do think less of a candidate if he's not aggressive. He kind of does have to throw it in Romney's face.
